Xtreme Checkbox in 5 minutes

In this tutorial we are going to create a checkbox. We are going to follow the next 5 steps.
1) Create the document;
2) Create the “box” layer;
3) Create the “checked” layer;
4) Merge and resize the outcome;
5) Compare the outcome;
Let’s get started!
Step 1.
Start Photoshop .Got to File>New. Create a 400x400 new document.
Step 2.
Grab the rectangular marquee tool and make a square (holding shift while drawing the selection).My selection is around 200x200 pixels. Try to crate one similar to mine by watching the info pallet while drawing the selection. With the selection active, create a new layer (Layer>New Layer) and name it box.
With the box layer selected, fill the selection with white (Edit>Fill). Now it’s time to add the following layer styles:

My outcome is this:
The box is almost ready. Let’s add a glassy effect by command/ctrl clicking the box layer icon from the layer pallet, and using the Elliptical Marquee Tool draw over the bottom of the box holding alt pressed to subtract from selection.

With the selection active, create a new layer on top of the box and name it glass. Fill it with white (Edit>Fill) and set the layers opacity to 30%.
Step 3.
Create a new layer on top of all the others and name it “Check”. Draw a check mark using the Custom Shape Tool.
Take the Pen Tool and right click on the path. Select fill, and use white. Then apply the following styles:

Step 4.
Select the box layer, the glass layer and the check layer using shift and merge them (command/ctrl+e) then resize the resulting layer and save the file as a JPG/PNG/GIF or whatever you want.

Step 5.
